Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of Mila — the WhatsApp-based developmental screening provided by BPAUS Ltd., an Israeli company (registration number 516145908). When you buy or use Mila, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Mila and ask us for a refund.

What Mila is

Mila is a developmental screening tool. It guides you through a set of yes/no questions about your child's behavior and milestones, based on the developmental milestone framework published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and updated in 2022. After you complete the screening, you receive a personal summary on WhatsApp and a PDF report that you can share with a pediatrician.

What Mila is not

Mila is not a medical diagnosis and not a substitute for a licensed clinician. It does not replace a pediatrician, a developmental neurologist, a child psychologist, a speech-language pathologist, or any other licensed professional. It does not prescribe or recommend treatment. Please read our Medical Disclaimer in full.

Who can use Mila

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child you are screening, or have explicit permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You must have the right under your local law to share the child's developmental information with us.
  • You must use a phone you control to receive the WhatsApp screening.

What you pay

  • A one-time fee per screening, shown clearly at checkout before you pay.
  • All charges are processed in Israeli Shekels (ILS). Any "$" price shown on our site or buttons is an approximate guide for convenience; the amount you are actually charged is the ILS amount displayed at checkout. If your card statement shows another currency, your bank or card network applies its own exchange rate.
  • No subscription. No automatic renewal. No hidden fees.
  • Multi-screening packages (the "two screenings" or "family pack" tier) are discounted bundles of the single-screening product, charged as a single transaction.

Refunds

Our refund commitments — including the automatic refund if you do not receive the WhatsApp welcome message within 30 minutes of payment — are spelled out in our Refund Policy.

How long you have to complete the screening

You have 24 hours from the moment Mila sends you the welcome WhatsApp message. After that, the screening expires automatically. We built it this way so partners and family members can pause and continue together — not because we want to rush you.

If something blocked you (a technical issue on our side, a family emergency, a phone problem), email support@bpaus.net and we will re-open the screening for you. We do this as a courtesy, not as a guaranteed right.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide an accurate phone number at checkout — it is how we deliver the screening.
  • Answer the questions honestly, based on what you actually observe in your child rather than what you hope or fear.
  • Do not share your screening link or PDF report in a way that misrepresents Mila as a medical diagnosis.
  • Do not attempt to game the screening, scrape its content, reverse-engineer its algorithm, or load-test the service.
  • Do not impersonate another parent or use stolen payment credentials.

Our responsibilities

  • Run the screening as described on this website.
  • Deliver the report to the email and WhatsApp number you provided at checkout.
  • Keep your personal data secure, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Refund you fairly if we fail to deliver, on the terms in our Refund Policy.

Intellectual property

The screening logic, the BPAUS scoring algorithm, the question content, the report layout, and the Mila and BPAUS names and logos are owned by BPAUS Ltd. When you buy a screening, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for one screening of one child. You do not receive the right to copy, resell, distribute, or build a competing product from any of it.

The underlying CDC developmental milestone framework is publicly available from the CDC; nothing in these terms restricts your separate rights to that public information.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime, but we do not promise the service will be available 24 hours a day, every day. We may take Mila offline temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to a security incident.

If a screening you have already paid for is interrupted because of an outage on our side, we will either restart the screening at no extra cost or refund you in full — your choice.

Limitation of liability

Mila is an informational screening tool. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BPAUS Ltd. is not liable for any medical decision you make on the basis of the screening, any delay in seeking professional help, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim relating to Mila is capped at the amount you paid us for the screening that the claim relates to.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence; nothing here limits your consumer rights under Israel's Consumer Protection Law or, if applicable to you, EU consumer protection law.

Termination

You can stop using Mila at any time. There is no account to close — once a screening is delivered, the transaction is complete.

We can suspend or refuse service if you materially break these terms (for example, by abusing the service, using stolen payment credentials, or attempting to reverse-engineer the algorithm). If we cancel a transaction on our initiative for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund any undelivered screenings in full.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material — for example, a new fee, a change in scope, or a change to limitation of liability — we will email everyone with an active account at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of Mila after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
