The problem

Concerns don't wait
for an appointment.

In Israel, the average wait for a developmental specialist through public health funds is 6–12 months. Even private appointments are often weeks out — and you arrive with nothing structured to discuss.

For the full screening — a structured developmental picture and a report for your doctor, today.

Early action matters most. The CDC explicitly recommends: "Don't wait. If something concerns you, talk to your doctor and ask about developmental screening." Mila gives you that structured picture — before the appointment.

Who Mila is for

From 6 months to 5 years — questions adapt themselves.

6–12 months

Infants. Babbling, sitting unsupported, rolling, eye tracking.

1–3 years

Toddlers. First words, walking, symbolic play, eye contact.

3–5 years

Preschool. Sentences, drawing, jumping, social play, emotions.

The BPAUS algorithm starts from your child's exact age — we never ask infant questions of a 5‑year‑old, or vice versa.

The report you receive

Where your child sits, versus typical.

  • Results across all 6 domains — what's on track, where to look deeper.
  • Compared to the CDC 75% threshold — what most children at this age do.
  • Recommended next steps — what to raise with your doctor.
  • A clear disclaimer: this is a screening, not a diagnosis. The clinical call is your doctor's.

Our story

Mila was born
from personal need.

Lily — the daughter of Yuri, BPAUS founder and CEO — began showing signs of autism at 16 months. Eight long months passed between the first sign Yuri noticed and the first appointment with a neurologist. Another five months elapsed before formal treatment began.

Over a year in total. A whole year where a family knew something was off but had no structured tool to act on. That story isn't unique to Yuri's home — it's the story of most families in this country.

Mila is the direct continuation of that need. BPAUS, the company Yuri built, has developed a clinical platform now used by therapists worldwide. Mila takes that same clinical knowledge and delivers it directly to parents — on WhatsApp. Start free, with the full report for your pediatrician at $17.

Is this a diagnosis?

No. Mila is a developmental screening based on CDC milestones. It gives you a clear picture of where your child stands relative to typical for their age — but any medical diagnosis requires a licensed pediatrician.

What does the free trial include?

12 yes/no questions on WhatsApp — two in each of six developmental areas, matched to your child's age. At the end you get an instant summary: which areas look on track, and which are worth a closer look. It's a real result, not a teaser.

How many times can I do the free trial?

Once per WhatsApp number. If you've already used it, we'll let you know and you can go straight to the full screening.

What's the difference between the trial and the full screening?

The full screening ($17) covers every milestone relevant to your child's age in each area — about 15 minutes — and produces a clean PDF report for your pediatrician. The trial gives you a first picture; the full screening gives you the basis for a conversation with your doctor.

Why CDC milestones specifically?

Because it's the agreed standard globally. The milestones were updated in 2022 by a panel of 8 child‑development experts in partnership with the AAP. Each milestone reflects what 75% of children at that age can do. It's the same framework your own pediatrician uses.

Why does the full screening take only 15 minutes? Is that enough?

The BPAUS algorithm doesn't waste your time. Rather than running through hundreds of questions, it starts from your child's exact age and zeroes in on milestones in the domains showing signs of change. Same clinical depth, far less time.

What language is the screening?

Mila supports four languages — Hebrew, Arabic, English, and Russian. You choose which one when you start the screening, and you can switch anytime by replying to Mila and asking.

What if my child has a known condition?

Mila is also useful for ongoing developmental tracking — to spot other areas that may need attention. You can share results with the clinical team treating your child.

Who built Mila?

Mila is a product of BPAUS — a company specializing in digital tools for autism and child development professionals. The BPAUS platform is used by therapists in Israel and worldwide. Read our story.

Do I have to finish in one sitting?

No. The full screening takes about 15 minutes, but there's no time limit — go at your own pace. Try each milestone with your child, reply when you're ready, or skip any question you're unsure about. Pause, talk it over with a partner, and pick up whenever suits you.

Refund policy?

Didn't receive the welcome WhatsApp message within 30 minutes of payment? Full refund, no questions. Started the screening but something didn't work? Refund available on request, subject to review.

Is my data private?

Yes. Data is stored encrypted on BPAUS servers, never sold, and not shared with third parties. We comply with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law and GDPR.
